PARUPPU THUVAIYAL

INGREDIENTS


Toor dal (lentils) - 1 cup
Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
Red chilies - 4
pepper corns - 4 or 5
Salt for taste
Oil - 1 tsp


METHOD


In a kadai roast the toor dal, red chilles and pepper corns with little oil on low heat until toor dal changes color slightly.


Allow it to cool and grind all together with coconut and salt in a mixie. Add required water and grind it smoothly.


Note : Mix with plain rice along with 1 tsp coconut oil or ghee. Oma kuzhambu goes well with this as side dish.
